Hello there 🙂

I am Ashwin – an undergraduate student at Case Western Reserve University double majoring in Computer Science and Neuroscience. I work as a researcher at Cleveland Clinic, where I’m fortunate to be advised by Professor Carl Saab on EEG Predictive Models .

My research interests lie at the intersection of Neuroscience and AI Interpretability. I am invested in advancing mechanistic understanding of how LLM’s “Think”, and leveraging multimodal models to deepen our understanding of neurological phenomena.

As President of AI@CWRU and writer of ashneurotech,  I’m passionate about delving deep into intricate and technical aspects of Artificial Intelligence!

Research

The following research projects are currently in progress..

Deep Learning-Based Prediction of OCD Treatment Efficacy
Ashwin Saraswatula, Carl Saab

A new method utilizing deep learning models to predict the efficacy of CBT and pharmacology on OCD patients from individualized brain EEG data.

Leveraging ConvNets for Phenotypic Characterization of Parkinson’s Plaque Formation
Ashwin Saraswatula, Wayne Poon, Angela Murchison

Using ConvNets to determine the phenotypes of Parkinson plaque formation through the generation of functional connectivity maps from amyloid-beta treated 3D assembloid wells coupled with HD-MEA.
