If you’re curious about my journey and what drives my work, here’s a bit about why I do what I do and why it matters to me. 🙂

I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of  understanding why people do what they do. How are people able to stay focused for long periods of time, come up with mesmerizing feats of creativity, and accomplish extraordinarily difficult goals. What does it mean to be truly happy, and what is a good quality of life. I found my first answers to these questions in the study of the brain. Pouring through countless studies on dopamine and plasticity, I developed a deep appreciation of the brain and its role in regulating our soul. It was shortly after, during a thought-provoking debate in a philosophy class, where I was introduced to Artificial Intelligence. It gave me another way to think about the mind. I loved how human behavior could be neatly modeled into mathematical equations and logic. I became enamored with Artificial Intelligence research, binge reading papers from NeurIPS and ICML, and watching as many podcasts from the OpenAI/DeepMind team as my mind could fathom.

I believe through the intersection of Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence research we can fundamentally transform quality of life. We’re just starting to ask the right questions, and I’m excited to be part of the revolution.
